Meet Ryan (she/her). I’m a multimedia journalist drawn to stories about the human experience staged within our natural world. My work spans writing, film, and photography — blending strong reporting with emotionally resonant storytelling.

My education includes a B.S. in Biology (Furman University) and a M.A. of Journalism (University of Colorado Boulder). Previous bylines include publications such as Colorado Community Media, Boulder Reporting Lab, and The Goodland Journal.

Based in Colorado since 2014, I currently freelance on projects connected to Boulder and Mountain West communities, with a focus on outdoor culture, ecology, and equitable access to wild spaces.
